Kansas-based South Bend Industrial Hemp, one of the leading hemp processors and growers in the United States, will open their fields to the hemp curious and host tours and a building workshop in July.

The 3rd Annual South Bend Industrial Hemp Open House takes place July 8, 9 at the facility in Great Bend, KS.

The come-and-go event will feature a free field tour Friday July 8, including Global Hemp Association’s seed variety test plots. Craft beers, hemp vendors and educational information will be available.

Friday evening, a charity Hog Roast will be held benefitting the Barton County Kids Ag Day.

Saturday, visitors will tour the hemp processing facilities and Ray Kaderli of HempBuild Network will host a hempcrete demonstration. Workshop costs: $50.
