US Hemp Building Association members at the Members Online Event May 13 voted for the top Hemp House built in the past year. <\/p>\n

Five hemp homes built in 2022-2023 were submitted, and all were inspiring and exciting! All of these structures will appear on the USHBA Hemp Structures Map.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Members voted to award first prize to the Hondo, TX house built by Tim White at Texas Healthy Homes as the top Hemp House built in the past year.<\/p>\n

This\u00a02,375 sqft, 2 bedroom, 2 bath home includes hempcrete for all exterior and interior walls.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Hondo house is essentially the benchmark we are aiming for in the building industry. With 2,484 sq ft of usable space, it is a one-story house with a strategically simple design. It features a breezeway between the guest quarters, utility room and the main house which is common vernacular architecture here in the Hill Country.\u201d<\/p>\n
